About Maria Koursarais DNP
Maria graduated in 2004 from American International College with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Her innate passion for caring for individuals has shaped a rewarding career spanning over 20 years in patient care.
Maria began her nursing journey at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA, working in the surgical and neuroscience intensive care units. After two years on the West Coast, she returned to her East Coast roots and took on a challenging nursing role in the neuroscience ICU at Yale-New Haven Hospital (YNHH). During her tenure at YNHH, she honed her nursing skills and had the profound privilege of caring for numerous patients and families during their most trying moments.
“Prioritize your skin health today, and it will reward you with a radiant future.”
Maria’s deep appreciation for the remarkable and intricate organ we all share—the skin—began during her early nursing career. As a student nurse, she immersed herself in the skin and wound care department at a local hospital, which sparked her lifelong interest in skincare. This passion led her to specialize in caring for patients with various skin conditions, particularly chronic wounds. Over the past few years, she has served as a wound care nurse in an outpatient setting, where her commitment to skincare has only deepened.
Recognizing the skin’s vital role in safeguarding our inner systems, Maria has dedicated herself to holistic skincare practices. In September 2018, she had the privilege of joining The Langdon Center for Laser and Cosmetic Surgery. Prior to this, Maria excelled as an Aesthetic Nurse Specialist, accumulating over seven years of experience in skin rejuvenation, facial injectables, advanced laser treatments for skin and hair reduction, medical microneedling, vein treatments for both the face and body, and platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapies for facial rejuvenation and hair restoration.
Throughout her journey, Maria has honed her aesthetic skills in various medical spas and physicians’ offices focused on skin rejuvenation and overall wellness. She earned her Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) in 2016 from Quinnipiac University, during which she participated in a clinical fellowship with a renowned local plastic surgeon, further enhancing her expertise. Maria remains committed to ongoing learning and skill development, working alongside the best in the industry.
With her passion for holistic care and her love for skin, Maria is dedicated to crafting individualized plans tailored to your unique skin rejuvenation needs. Her goal is to empower clients to look and feel refreshed and revitalized, tapping into the inherent beauty and renewability of the skin. Every day presents a new opportunity for a fresh start.
